Hi, my name is Katherine Garcia, I am from Peru.
I came to the United States two years ago and I am planning to stay for 3 or 4 more years in order to study a master's degree.
Right now I am taking the TOEFL preparation class in a school around Manhattan.
In my free time I help my friend to take for a walk their dogs, for me is something that I really enjoy because all my life I've had dogs at home,

Katherine interviewed with us recently for a job. She was a good fit for our requirements, we agreed on terms and asked for references. At this point she asked us (on thursday 5/17/18), in her words, "do you mind confirming me at 100% today (after calling my references) that the position is mine, so I can stop my other nanny applications". We gave her that assurance and confirmed the start date in our reply message. Two days later (on Saturday 5/19/18) after talking to her reference - we made her an offer. We heard back on sunday that she had accepted another offer.
She was duplicitous and misleading in her communications with us through this process.
