I am a fulltime student at Nazareth College, studying to be an early childhood educator, I will be certified to teach students of all ages between birth and 6th grade, I will also have special education certification in the same age range.  I have a parttime job while in school through a work study program at Nazareth's IT and Media Services Desk as well as a parttime summer job at Planet Fitness.
I have been around children my whole life and have been helping provide childcare since I was 13yrs old, so that is now 8 years of experience.  Most ofk my caregiving experience has been with children between the ages of 2 and 12 however I do have some experience with newborns and infants.  I also have caregiving experience with a wide range animals and pets, including dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, rats, horses and bunnies. 
My caregiving philosophy is that the children and pets should be having fun in a safe environment that is conducive to their learning and growing needs.  Safety and being healthy are important to me as well, I would like to see children playing outdoors when possible or being active inside, this means I would try to keep video games, television and computer time to a minimum.  I do see the benefits to these activities however I think that being active as children is equally if not more important.
