I'm seeking to fulfill your need for an Experienced Pet Sitter. I have experience multitasking in various medical fields, as well as with customer service, and in the medical and veterinary medical fields. My seven years in education as an ESL teacher reflects my attention to detail, as well as my patience with New Learners of the English Language (a category under which immigrant children, as well as all puppies and kittens fall under).  I’m organized, reliable, I work well with other humans, yet most especially with non-human animals.

In my recent position as a receptionist at a veterinary hospital, my role was integral to the efficient functioning of the practice, becoming skilled at tasks such as answering calls, preparing and updating medical charts, scheduling routine and emergent appointments, confirming future appointments, sending out reminder notices for vaccines and late payments, and greeting all clients and their pets.  I especially valued the opportunity to educate clients about appropriate health care for their charges, as well as acting as a sort of ambassador for the clinic, conveying our policies, resolving conflicts, and expressing sensitivity to customers’ concerns. 

During my semester as a veterinary student at Tufts, and in my hours training as a Technician, as well as my time volunteering at two wildlife centers, and as an Exercise Hostler for a Mounted Patrol years ago, I acquired the lifelong skills required for the effective care of domestic and indigenous wild species of all kinds, as well as the finesse to read individual personalities within each of those species. 

I believe that my varied background and abilities make me uniquely qualified for this position.  I am currently available to work during any hours, including overnights.  I’d like to earn approximately $15 per hour, but I am flexible on that amount, as I am mainly interested in working with animals once again.  I hope that you’ll allow me to demonstrate how I would be an asset to your pet's health and well-being.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Thank you for your time.
