In the four years I have worked at the ASPCA in New York City as an Animal Care Technician and Senior Vet Assistant I was trained in several different departments. In the hospital, I gained skills in restraining, medical treatment, and monitoring patients while working in ICU, isolation (infectious animals), triage, and surgery. I went on to join the Anti Cruelty Group, assisting in animal cruelty examinations and forensic investigations. I administered medical treatments, exercised and socialized with animals that have been severely neglected and abused. Overall, I ensured the comfort and cleanliness of hospitalized animals. My final year I joined a magnificent team of individuals at a high volume Spay and Neuter Operations which cared for up to 80 cats and dogs daily. Having been well trained at the ASPCA and in possession of my own great and deep spirit for the care of animals I am well aware how important it is to be present and conscientious. I've developed a grand amount of patience and sensitivity in direct care with animals.
