I have recently graduated from Wright State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in biology and am currently pursuing my master’s in Physician Assistant studies. I am in search of part-time work as a pet-sitter to make ends meet (medical textbooks are pretty expensive). In 2013, I received an honorable discharge from the Army after 7 years of service. Throughout my tenure in the military, I was deployed for a year in Afghanistan where I served as the soldier in charge of base defense operations. Inherent in my role was the responsibility of overseeing the military working dogs that searched vehicles for explosives and drugs as they approached our base. As a result, I have extensive experience working with animals, especially dogs. Additionally, being a proud owner of several pets, there’s no better way for me to utilize my experience with animals than as a pet-sitter.

At 26 years of age, the professionalism aspect of the military has grown strong roots in my personality and work ethic. If hired, I will never be late to any prearranged dates for me to watch your pet. I understand that most pets, dogs in particular, can’t be left for more than 8 hours without care. I am more than willing to take your pet for walks or any other type of exercise that you prefer. My Australian Shepherd is a big fan of playing Frisbee and the nature of her breed requires an hour or more of exercise per day, so I understand the importance of this well. Given the flexibility of my school schedule, I have a wide-range of availability for work during the morning, afternoon, evening, and even overnight or extended care. I am willing to negotiate the prices for services as well based on travel distance, time requirements, etc. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend!
