The skills I have gained throughout the years greatly contribute to my ability to care for animals. I have been a practicing Music Therapist working primarily with children diagnosed with autism for more than 14 years, a career that has always demanded clear thinking, multitasking, strong communications skills, the ability to supervise and direct other professionals, volunteers and students, and the ability to interpret nonverbal behavior, often in a very challenging environment.

I am most happy when I am with animals, especially in a caretaker position. My passion includes not only caring for animals. I participate in and educate the community about trap-neuter-return (TNR) of feral cats, promoting animal adoption, and for advocating on behalf of the needs of all animals. I have rescued and found homes, foster homes and shelter placement for countless numbers of stray cats and dogs in my own urban neighborhood as well as from other areas in our region. I have lobbied state and federal lawmakers regarding legislation that positively affects animals and have participated in animal advocacy conferences and trainings with organizations such as the Cleveland APL, the Humane Society of the United States, Ohioans for Humane Farms, and Farm Sanctuary. I have also been engaged in community involvement and activism that benefits animals.

I am very motivated to advocate for all animals and to provide for their needs. I enjoy educating the public about the human / animal bond and most especially about the great need for adoption, spaying and neutering pets, and for proper care of animals.
