I have an interesting range of qualifications and experiences that set myself apart from others. I have naturally have been a responsible, dependable, compassionate, and caring person who truly cares about the children or animals in my personal environment.

As a child, I grew up with a severely disabled sibling named Hannah. Hannah needed help with day to day things such as getting ready for school, communication with strangers who were not familiar with Hannah, and giving Hannah the most normal life possible. Helping with Hannah helped me to gain a caring, understanding, and giving personality to help and teach others. In high school I became a lifeguard so I could teach swim lessons to the community, give private swim lessons to children with disabilities, and be part of the YMCA community as a lifeguard. Growing up with Hannah and teaching swim lessons at the YMCA led me to a greater path to my studies at Bowling Green State University.

I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Art Degree and a Education endorsement. Along with my studies, I became a Resident Advisor at the University. The job had responsibilities such as crises management, putting on programs, discipline, and most importantly being a positive role model for college freshman. In addition to being a Resident Advisor, I have an education endorsement in Art Education. Since my freshman year at BGSU, I have worked with a grades kindergarten through high school students as a teacher and mentor. I had the opportunity to student teach in a art classroom with grades 2 through 8. While teaching the variety grade levels; I had the opportunity to learn how to approach different age groups, and gaining personal connections, and making sure the students had fun learning about art.

Furthermore with my love with working with youth, I have had the a special spot for animals. Growing up, I did not have a pet until late elementary when my family adopted a kitten named Ella. However, my neighbors knew my love for animals. I became the neighborhood dog walker and pet sitter. I was trusted to walk and play with a variety of dogs in my neighborhood. The past experiences of working with animals and children sets myself apart from other candidates.
