I'm an active gardener and birder. I live 3 miles from you and your lab pup, and a block from a terrific dog park. I've been occupied with a major garden and yard project since last spring, so I've been outside in the yard a lot, and enjoy greetings by the 'regulars' the 2- and 4-legged friends that walk past my house every day on their way to play at the park.

Getting to know the neighborhood dogs and their humans helps, but I do miss the company of dogs, having had an Alaskan Malamute and also a Westhighland white terrier. Very different, but both extremely intelligent! Training came from experience and patience. I have no relevant certification. Would love to provide care and company for your pup while you enjoy your vacation.
