My most faithful friend has four legs. I have had pets for all but 8 years of my life when my 3 children were babies. I currently have a tabby cat with an attitude and a knack for mischief (also her middle name). I had a very loving daschund for 14 years and yes, it broke my heart when he died. He had some back problems but his most serious problem was having seizures for which I had to disguise his meds every day so that he would take them. 

. My three children are all adults now: 2 are college grads (one is a pet sitter and one a cat owner), youngest is a college student. I work as a merchandiser full-time. In my free time, I like to read a good book with my cat curled up in my lap or try out some new vegetarian recipes.
