Having just wrapped up my senior year at Penn State University majoring in Communications, I am completing 1 final class at home before I officially receive my diploma as a Bachelor of Arts in visual journalism with a double minor in Psychology and International Studies.
But if I could choose any one alternative thing to do for the rest of my life that would make me happiest, I would devote my time to animals.
I have always had a unique way with animals all kinds, and an impressive ability to earn the trust of even the toughest, most stubborn, snappy, timid, even the most spastic of pets. I have the patience, understanding, and compassion to work with animals who exhibit any quirky characteristics and know how to handle any behavior- which is why I religiously volunteer in the summers at Animal Friends shelter in Pittsbugh, PA.
I have an immense amount of love for every animal, but dogs have always and will always undoubtedly hold the biggest place in my heart. I am very, very good with dogs. I have 2 at home of my own in Pittsburgh (a golden retriever and a rescued mix from the shelter), and trained both of them myself. Dogs truly have such a significant impact on me and I would love nothing more than to help out with any pup I can!
I'm incredibly excited to have discovered this opportunity on SitterCity because despite my original intentions and deepest desires to adopt a pet to live with me at my home in State College while I'm at school, I am your typical broke college student who realistically can't afford what it would require.
So, I've been looking for a way to earn some extra cash... and needless to say working as a pet sitter couldn't sound like a more ideal thing for me to do!!!
