ABOUT Sue of Pee Wee and Pals:
Sue, the owner/operator of Pee Wee and Pals, is originally from Greensburg, PA, but for the past 14 years she and her husband, Eric, have lived all over the east coast traveling with Eric‘s career in telecommunications. After years of fast-paced city life, Sue and Eric decided to come back home to Westmoreland County and along with Ashlee and Mango, the two cats they left Greensburg with in 2001, they returned with a houseful of senior and special needs rescue dogs and cats, who have become their family over the years. Incidentally, Pee Wee is a rescue cat that followed Sue home from work one day 7 years ago and has been king of the castle ever since! “Pee” was the natural choice for CEO and namesake of Pee Wee and Pals!
Previously, Sue owned and operated a large and very busy pet care business, employing 25+ pet care professionals. Sue’s pet care business won numerous awards and was featured in many TV, newspaper, and magazine articles throughout its 7-year stint as one of the most well-known pet services on the east coast.
Sue has also worked as kennel manager at Trooper Veterinary Hospital in Norristown, PA.
Sue has been heavily involved in managing/organizing the rescue/transport/networking/fundraising/fostering efforts of multiple dog, cat, and exotic animal 501c3 rescue organizations all over the United States.
Sue has assisted in the operating room and in the recovery room for the Cube, the PSPCA’s low-cost spay and neuter clinic for feral cats.
Sue is the author of "Sue's Views for Happy Pets", an informative column pertaining to pet health, behavior, and general well-being that appears in the newsletters of many of the high-rise apartment and condo communities in southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as in several nationally published publications.
Sue writes a weekly column, "Pet of the Week" for The Spirit newspaper.
While living in eastern PA, Sue was a guest speaker for many community education projects in local schools – doing educational hands-on presentations on responsible pet ownership, including the “Rescue Road Show".
