I have been working as a nurse for over a decade. While I love connecting with people, I've always had a passion for animals and feel that now is the perfect time in our lives (my husband and I are newleyweds) to allow me to pursue spending my time caring for animals.
I have been the primary dog-walker for two Animal Therapy dogs for the past few years, and let me tell you- these guys love the great outdoors (and that's one thing we have in common!). As they are certified therapists, the dogs and I have been volunteering around the community and visiting with the sick and elderly population around the North Hills. And to be honest, I enjoy it even more than they do!
I'm fortunate to have over 25 years of pet-sitting experience. If your pets are active, I'll tire them out. If they just want to cuddle and rest, I'm equally as skilled at that! I want you to be assured that your pet will be safe, happy, and well cared for when you're not around. I would expect the same from someone providing the care to our three cats....
I had a petsitting assignment once years ago where the dog was just so sad that he had been left by his parents. I remember sitting on the floor next to his pathetic little face and, wanting so desperately to make him understand that everything was going to be okay, I got the random idea to start reading out loud to him from my PEOPLE magazine that I had with me. And wouldn't you know, that dog and I bonded over the latest Michael Jackson and Pierce Brosnan news?
