Let me begin by saying we knew everything that was going on in our home as it was happening while we were on vacation. We had a camera set up that was overlooking our entire living room as well as our hallway and part of our kitchen. While waiting in the terminal to come home, we got an alert from our camera that motion and sound were detected. To our shock, a man that we did not recognize was standing in our living room. When we are trusting someone with a key to our house, it is a major issue when we see an unrecognizable person in our house (and yes, the camera records sound as well, and was in plain sight). It is never acceptable to bring someone else into another person's home when it is a job.
Then there is the issue we discovered in the bathroom when we got home (where our cat's litter box is). My wife is very anal when it comes to instructions and doing things properly, so she wrote out a pretty meticulous set of instructions and guidelines that was left with the money for the service on the dining table (the money was taken, the instruction sheet had not moved). In them, it stated clearly to throw away dirty litter in the dumpster across the parking lot. When we arrived home, there was a trash bag of dirty litter open on the floor, and the bathroom smelled awful. This is an indication that the instructions were simply not read or just ignored completely. Either way, it is very unprofessional to not follow instructions and to leave a smelly mess in someone's home.
Everything seemed okay at first until these things came to light. Having strangers in my home without my knowledge (or any intention of letting me know or asking permission) and coming home to dirty litter on my bathroom floor is unacceptable. And these are not just simple opinions--they are things we have ample proof of. As much hope as my wife and I had for this endeavor, we must say that we do not recommend this sitter's service.

Shannon is great--very friendly and enthusiastic about animals. I felt very comfortable leaving our cat to her care. She checked-in regularly and was easy to get in touch with while we were away. I highly recommend her!

Shannon is super-responsible, has great animal radar, and communicates well so I feel very comfortable on my travels, knowing everything is being handled capably.
