Growing up in a home full of dogs definitely familiarized me with all things cute, messy, and energetic! My grandma runs a doggy daycare in her home, so I learned a lot from her about how to properly care for furry friends.
I currently have a 15-year-old Rat Terrier and a 2-year-old Chiweenie, and will be adopting a 2-year-old Labrabull in the upcoming weeks. Throughout my years of dog sitting I've also cared for Schnauzers, Poodles, Maltese puppies, Shih Tzus, a young blind Yorkie, American Bulldogs, and German Shepards, some of which had to take oral medication.
Being a Native Austinite, I know of all the cool places that your little one would love, as well as ones that they wouldn't depending on their personality. For example, my Chiweenie hates Red Bud Isle because she's overwhelmed by the dominance and independence of the other dogs there; she prefers more family-friendly parks.
My love for animals is just as conditional as their love for me. I enjoy that they force you to get out of the house, go on walks, explore, and let loose -- I go back to my child self every time I have the opportunity to be with one!
