Hi! My name is Laura and I have been an animal lover all my life. My parents say that as soon as I could move I would head straight to any animal I saw.
A little background on my experience, I have a Bachelors of Animal Science degree from Texas Tech University. Currently I am in the process of completing my Masters in Animal Breeding and Genetics at Texas A&M University.
I have worked for 2 years as a Veterinary Technician and almost 4 years as a Research Animal Technician. I also was given the opportunity to intern at a small zoo so I have experience with a wide variety of animals from exotics to livestock to dogs and cats.
My fur baby is Shiloh, a two year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is an incredible, loving, goofy, sassy girl!
I have also been able to do a good bit of animal training over the years, particularly with dogs and horses.
I am comfortable with cats, large dogs, small dogs and everything in between. I can handle difficult animals as well as special medical needs animals.
