"When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul". I believe A.D. Williams says it best. Animals have a pure spirit and spending time with them/caring for them, I believe, has a healing effect on the soul and soothes the heart. There is so much to learn from animals; kindness, unconditional love, compassion, loyalty, companionship, acceptance, etc. I believe if we could all be half the person our dog is, we'd be twice the human we are now. They speak through their silence and give us a new perspective on life if we're willing to listen and learn.

About Me:
I have a true and genuine passion for all animals, especially dogs. I am devoted to helping stray/lost dogs as often as I can. I feel all dogs, all animals for that matter, deserve to live a life full of love, compassion, and impeccable care. I am that person who will block traffic to assist a stray/lost dog or to load them into my Jeep. The first career I wanted to pursue was becoming a Veterinarian. I quickly realized in that profession, though I would have helped many animals, I would've also had to of seen many injured or worse. I feel an animals pain when they're in pain and I understood that I would not have been able to handle that profession emotionally. So, pet care is my next best option! Now I am pursuing human care ;) I am a Full-Time Kinesiology student at A&M University Corpus Christi, pursuing Occupational Therapy.

My Experience:
My family has cared for dogs all through my life. Currently, we have a 12 year old German Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix named Jewel. She is the family dog whom I love like a sister. I myself have a 4 year old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix named Coco whom I absolutely love and adore more than life itself. She is more my daughter rather than a dog.
I obviously have experience caring for my own dogs. We almost lost Jewel a year ago when she was diagnosed with Hemolytic Anemia. She was in my care for 4 months as my parents travel for work and could not give her the intense care she needed. With a strict medication schedule and constant care, she pulled through and is now traveling with my parents again while on maintenance medication :)
I also have much experience taking care of my two aunt's dogs and birds. I have also cared for a few of my friends' cats, turtles, and fish. Though most of my experience is with dogs, I do thoroughly enjoying caring for/spending time with all animals.
