My husband and I have three girls (dogs) and one cat. I am usually sitting with my own girls. I have not previously worked as a pet sitter. But I have hired quite a few. We love dogs and cats.

Our oldest is Tiny a rat terrier, 17 yrs. young, followed by 10 year old Beebe, and Peanut a 6 yrs. old Chihuahua. We inherited our current cat KT from our neighbors that moved away leaving her behind. She was so lost, and sat in our backyard watching our girls run in and out the dog door! She learned fast and the next thing we knew, we had a tabby sleeping on our living room couch!

I was recently laid off after 17 great years with an international software provider. Prior to now I provided application training, wrote documentation, and tested software products. Unfortunately, my division was spun-off and sold.

I did not want to start a new full time 8-5 job, so I signed up early for social security and started looking for something enjoyable to do part time.
Reading the ads in "Sittercity" I think I would make a good pet sitter.
