I am married, aged 31, and my children are the 4-legged fur baby sort. My "oldest" is a 7 year old F2 Goldendoodle, my "middle child" is a loyal & loving 6 year old Giant Schnoodle, and the "baby" is a ten ton tom cat who believes he is 'one of the dogs'. We also have 3 Scottish Highland Cattle, the coo's as we call them. Our dogs and cat have various health problems, and I am comfortable pilling them all. Angus, the 80 lb Giant, gets 3 doggy Prozac/night for anxiety.
I worked as a receptionist at an Animal Hospital in Vegas from 2011-2012. During that time period, I checked in clientele, cleaned rooms, assisted techs & Vets with holding pets during their vaccinations & pilling, checked in borders, and kept extensive chart records on a patient by patient basis. Two of my closest friends are Licensed Veterinarians in the state of NV. I have been pet sitting for friends, family, & strangers for over 10 years.
Recently my pet sitting jobs have included:
-2 dogs, in home. One small bichon-poodle mix (Gucci), and One young Golden Retriever (Ryder). I typically stay with them for 5-7 days, sometimes longer. I also house sit for them while staying with them. I often also will provide adult supervision for their 2 teenage children while staying with the dogs & house as well.
- 2 dogs, in home. One small incredibly active French bull dog, and one older large Weimereiner with serious thyroid problems. He required medication 2x/day, and I am comfortable administering that for him. I was with them for 1 week while their family was out of the country, and I house sit for that time period as well. I was compensated $400 for that job. $200 of that upfront.
- 5 dogs, 1 ferret, 1 bunny, 1 lizard, & 1 snake, in home. The dogs are: 1 Rottweiler/German Shepard Mix, 2 pit bulls, 1 cow dog, and 1 small rescue/mix. These are the pets of my 2 close veterinarian friends. All of their animals are rescues from their clinics. If they cannot get an assistant or tech to watch their pets, I will stay with them as a back up. As we do a lot together, all of the animals are very comfortable with me and vice versa.
