I have loved animals my whole life, and had cats, dogs, frogs, ferret, rabbits, and a chinchilla growing up. When I was a teen, I volunteered at our vet office for the summer because I love animals so much. Currently we have a beagle (1 yrs old) and a cat (2 yrs old)! Our beagle has LOTS of energy, and is a bit shy at first, but she loves attention and having someone to play with. As long as your pet is good with other animals and children (I have a 3 yr old), I'd love to watch your pet at my place while you are away! But don't worry, my 3-year-old doesn't harass the animals like a typical toddler (he has autism), so generally he is happy to steer clear of our pets at home. I am a stay at home mom, so your pet would get lots of attention all day! As for cats, they would be inside only, and for dogs, we have a fenced back yard to play in, but the dogs can be inside or out, though overnight, they would be kept inside. I know I live a ways out, but depending on where you live, I can meet you somewhere for pick up and drop off.
