I'm a recent graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South and will be spending my summer in New York to attend the Yale Writer's Conference from June 4 to June 14; otherwise, I'm completely free and looking to find some work in pet care while I'm in the area. I grew up in a household where we've always owned pets and have cared for animals from parrots to reptiles, cats to dogs with severe allergies, and everything in between; I adopted a Scottish Fold kitten with health issues and raised and treated him throughout college, so I'm used to working with pets with special needs and I'm careful, responsible, and attentive around animals. During my time in college I volunteered to walk, socialize, and foster animals for a local shelter in Tennessee; throughout my childhood and high school I rode and cared for horses at a local barn; and I've dealt with dogs and cats of all personality types, from shy and skittish to hyperactive and outgoing. I've volunteered at animal shelters since I was a child and truly love working with animals, and have learned a great deal in the process - like I've said, I know how sensitive some pet's special needs can be, so I'm very conscientious and trustworthy. I'm responsible and will take care of whatever your pets needs are, whether it's dog walking, overnight care, check ins and visits; you name it.
