My professional experience includes 8 years volunteering & fostering & 6 years pet sitting experience. We have really enjoyed getting to foster locally through the CASPCA & FSPCA and Caring for Creatures. We've fostered moms & their newborn pups, puppy litters, and bottle fed kittens over the last few years. I've been privileged to learn so much through the many varied & unique fostering experiences we've had and now bring those skills to my pet sitting business. I am married, to a UVA Medic, have two adult sons & we have 3 pets of our own, a dog and 2 cats. They've always been around our fosters over the years. They are very well socialized and they always play an important role in the socialization process for many of our more timid fosters. Some of my clients dogs were under socialized and as a result, were sweet but also extremely shy or skittish, including some who were experiencing severe separation anxiety. It's very critical for these special clients especially to feel comfortable with their caregiver, and the other pets in the home as these situations require time, love, patience & experience as they are learning to adjust to a new environment. I also have experience with caring for dogs with special medical needs. I'm very attentive, knowledgeable, loving & patient. They will be safe & not lack for any attention or love while in my care.
