I love animals and am available to pet sit (daytime or overnight), play, or walk your pet(s). I have experience providing care for pet pigs, ferrets, dogs, ducks, birds, cats, rabbits, lizards, hedgehogs, hamsters, fish, and a few strays that sometimes come and go. I grew up in a rural area in Indiana where my parents converted their farmland to a home for multiple rescue animals. During high school & college, I volunteered part-time at the local animal shelters helping to feed, play, groom, and walk the animals. My husband and I adopted a rescue dog when she was a wee little pup. We moved her from the country fields where she could run and play to the city neighborhoods of San Francisco, CA. We helped her work through some initial anxiety concerns until she adapted to her new environment. We took her on multiple daily walks and enjoyed spending a majority of our time outside. She quickly learned that life in the city is just as fun and made multiple puppy friendships in the area. Her favorite places involved running on the beach and chasing the ocean waves. We started caring for her friends both in our home and in their homes. It was so fun to have puppy sleep overs and get to know the personalities of her puppy friends. I gained experience working with animals needing medication and special care while working in the shelters so I was at ease assisting with her medication when needed. We quickly learned many new tricks to administer medication to a pup that could be very sneaky at times. My husband and I continued to pet sit for family & friends in the Bay Area. We moved to the NOVA in May 2014. My passion to continue to help other families care for their sweet pets has grown. I truly enjoy it and care for them as if they were my own. My current schedule is very flexible. I am available day/evening/night. I am also available short notice if needed. I am open to visiting daily with one or multiple visits and overnight care in your home. I do care for you fur babies as if they were my own and love the bond/friendship that is formed. I have been told by many of the families that I work with that I have a very calming nature. I also like to bring my son with me when possible to share my love for animals. I only bring him to meet pets I have already met in person and with the permission of the pet parent. He is never out of my sight when he is with me. He loves to play catch, Frisbee, and any other type of active exercise. We love to spend time outdoors.
