Hello!
I am Sara, a military Veteran (8 years, USAF) and have recently separated to pursue a certification as a Veterinary technician with hopes to succeed to a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
My first semester of college is coming to an end and now that I'm starting to get the hang of it, I am ready to take on a more "normal" level of responsibility.
I am posting here as a means to hopefully curb my desires to host a zoo in my home (the fiancee thinks two dogs is more than enough already} and help you take care of your "children of the barking and meowing persuasion".
I love dogs. I'm very knowledgeable of "doggie language" and even down to knowing all types of breeds. I've volunteered many hours at shelters, fostered a few puppies, and helped with a few rescue missions. Even one of my two pups has been a medical mystery. We have to limit his diet, make sure he has specific medications and he has even had more surgeries than I have.
I am willing to work with and care for just about any kind of animal; my only issues are going to be a case by case basis with cats and any dog (full grown) less than 15lbs.
Of note: I've been randomly attacked by cats and chihuahua's at least three times in the past; because of this, I have some anxiety around them and I may ask for a deposit or something of the sort until I feel comfortable that little Twinkles isn't going to maul my ankles and/or use me as a scratching post.
Also of note: As I am still in college, I do not have official certifications/licenses; but please do not let that hinder your decision. I have previously, and successfully, performed CPR on a dog.

All rates I have listed are for an assumed amount of distance, however, those who are near the Dulles Town Center mall may receive a discount!
