Hi,

I love working with animals (both cats and dogs) and sharing a special bond between them that is something so different than verbal communication. I love to create harmony within groups of animals as i have done in the past with a large group of cats I was cat sitting (six to be exact, and a stray that I would feed). This required patience and certain techniques that I developed myself to facilitate this harmony, and in the end creating a more loving environment for all the kitties to get along. For this specific job I was taking care of six cats in a rural country area, all with unique characteristics, for a period of four months. All were indoor/outdoor, so every night they had to be rallied in, proving quite the challenge but very satisfying when the feat was completed. It was important to make sure the kitties had complete safety, being brought in every night, were fed and most importantly well loved, played with and nurtured.

I have also done quite a bit of dog walking and care from small to large dogs (poodles, silken windhounds, bijon frisee, golden doodles, golden retrievers). On one particular occasion staying at the home of a silken windhound and taking care of him for ten days. From this I gained knowledge in a breed of dog slightly more wild and less "dog" like than most dog behavior. For instance I did not walk him on a leash, only when we were crossing a busy street, he did not socialize too much with other dogs, and wasn't very interested in playing catch. I enjoyed spending time with him, echo was his name, and his calm demeanor. I also learned how to decipher what he was trying to communicate with me and how at times his behavior was a display of him missing his owner, i.e. quite a bit of whimpering which would subside after going for a long walk with him.

I am currently walking a golden doodle named sunny several times a week, and would love to be a part of other animals lives as well.
