I have raised two cats and three dogs in my lifetime. My husband and I also raised organic chickens, ducks, geese, and turkey for several years. All of our beloved pets have ten acres of our own country property to freely roam. My four legged family members are kept indoors. The dogs are only outside when an adult is present. The cats were free indoor/outdoor roamers, but mainly chose to sleep indoors most nights. Our home is set a 1/4 mile away from the main roadway, so they are safe. I have cared for pets of family and friends at their own home. My primary vet is Oakview Veterinary in Green Bay. Dr. Hogenson and his staff know that I am a devoted pet mom. Fox Valley Referral Center also knows us well. I purchase my pet food, treats, and supplements from Down To Earth health store in Howard; Cheryl Larson is my go-to person. I have friends in the animal welfare profession and have volunteered for organizations including Cats Anonymous, Bay Area Humane Society, etc. I believe in spending ample quality time and attention with pets who are under my care. I treat them how I would want to be treated if I were a pet. They are welcome to come visit my home if their mom/dad are okay with it and kept on a leash. My present pets are 13-year old black lab/shepherd mix named Pancho; 8-year old huskie/border collie/shepherd mix named Abby. Pancho is a rescue dog we took in at 10 weeks old. Abby is a rescue dog we took in at four years old (estimated age). They are fed mainly a certified organic non-carb/starch diet and enjoy lightly steamed broccoli, green beans, and spinach. Daily they receive a multi-vitamin and valuable supplements.
