My name is Michelle and I recently moved back to Madison (near Fitchburg & Verona) after 4 years in Chicago (moved for a job). I have always loved pets and am a responsible, flexible and kind pet sitter. I grew up with dogs (Shetland Sheepdogs, Golden Retriever) and have had my own cat for the past 4 years. In the neighborhood where I grew up, I often walked and cared for neighbors' dogs, as well as fed and cared for other pets, from rabbits to iguanas. I volunteered at the Chippewa County Humane Society (where I grew up), the Dane Co. Humane Society (during college), and at PAWS Chicago (no-kill cat & dog rescue), where I adopted my cat. I occasionally dog sit for family friends in Madison who have a Golden Retriever, but they like taking him to dog daycare and don't often need someone overnight anymore. I am in the process of interviewing for jobs, but would be available for most of November 2014 (not Thanksgiving, unfortunately) to provide pet care in Madison. Once I have a full-time job, I could still consider evenings and occasional overnights for clients who are traveling. I am comfortable giving medications (my cat has had her share of health issues!) and I have experience giving intravenous fluids to pets before. I am an active person and enjoy walking and jogging outdoors during all seasons, especially when it's with a dog or two!
