I grew up always having a pet, mostly cats and dogs. Of course, being young, a child doesn't realize how much time, money, and affection a pet really needs to live a happy and healthy life. As I got older, I realized this, so before I decided to adopt or rescue my cat, I really thought and prepared for everything this animal would need. I have experience with the pets I grew up with. A beagle who was with my family most of my childhood, 3 cats that I lived with, and my one cat now, as well as my mother's present dog, a toy fox terrier. I have experience watching animals I do not know well. I've sat with a big rescue dog who has separation anxiety and an aging cat. I've also walked dogs who know that I am not their caregiver. I take pet care very seriously and would willingly help others care for their pets when they aren't able to.
