From high school onward, I have worked with children in a variety of roles—as babysitter, teacher, workshop instructor, and tutor. I have a 23-year-old daughter, who is pursuing a PhD in math, and who I home-schooled for several years. I have always loved working with children, and as a fine artist, I enjoy coming up with art projects for kids. I also like to make kids laugh, through puns, play, and silly voices. When there are problems with cooperation, I prefer to distract or redirect the child's attention. I am also happy to help with homework, pets and/or light housework.

Carla is wonderful. From the beginning, we could tell that she is someone who CARES and takes responsibility. We have a very complicated schedule and Carla has always been compassionate, communicative and flexible around our needs. She is also a very talented artist and interacts with our 8 and 10 year old in ways that are stimulating and fun. She is intelligent, down to earth and honest. We are lucky to have Carla in our lives!
