I'm a mom myself and a full-time teaching assistant. I’ve experienced the issues with childcare firsthand and I’m happy to help whether it be for date nights, or a little extra help on the weekends. I try to keep my availability on here as up-to-date as possible. Due to my job, I have open availability on school breaks. I have experience babysitting children of all ages and have 12 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities/behavioral problems. I love to watch children learn, and would be great homework help after school. I prefer to engage children the same way I was as a child such as by playing games and sports, building forts, or getting outside & enjoying nature. I enjoy cooking and baking, and arts & crafts. We hired Amanda to babysit for our 9-month old daughter while we attended a local wedding. It was our first time leaving her with a sitter, so we were a bit anxious. Amanda immediately put our minds at ease -- she was communicative, punctual, and highly attentive to our daughter. Amanda took her for a walk, played, and got her off to sleep without a hitch. We couldn't recommend Amanda more highly!
