Hi! My name is Kate! I'm a published writer and teacher of many ages, as well as an editor, writing coach, arts curator, craft extravaganza participant and career part-time nanny. I have worked off and on throughout my life as a child caregiver and most recently i was the afterschool caregiver for two girls (preschool and elementary), 2 dogs and a cat. That position lasted for 2 years until the mother started working from home. Before that I taught in an after-school program facilitating art and writing activities, and then pre-Covid I was a nanny for a 2 year old for nearly 2 years. In terms of teaching (if you are looking for home school help) I have taught writing and reading to 10 year olds and high schoolers in the gifted and talented program from Johns Hopkins, and writing/art to pre-college students at the University of the Arts, and Read more recently taught art to preschool ELA students online. I am presently available for part time hours in order to continue teaching my classes at night. I love kids, animals, plants and kindness. Best, Kate Ps: SC lists me as ‘never background check’ (?) I don’t understand that because all of my families have run a background check with no problem. I have a totally clean driving record (save for a parking ticket at the beach but come on! The sign was ambiguous! Ha!) Also, in the 2 years I’ve been off Sitter city, my two (5 star!) reviews have gone away.
