I started babysitting children when I was 10 years old (fyi, I am now 58!). I have babysat intermittently off and on for friends and family my entire life. I have two grown children of my own and two grandchildren who I spend as much time with as I can. I worked as a paralegal for one attorney for 27 years, during which time I became a volunteer baby holder in the NICU at Children’s Mercy (CM). After spending time doing that for a while, I realized that I wanted a full change of career and attained the necessary skills to become a CNA on one of their med-surg floors. I have been doing this now for 2.5 years and love it with all of my heart. However, I have some free time that I could use to help some families with newborns or older infants. My experience at CM Read more has equipped me with skills necessary to take care of all types of children with and without special needs. I would love to talk with you if you would like some intermittent help with care of your newborn or infant.
