Eleri is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan where she earned her Master of Social Work. She graduated in December of 2021 from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in psychology with an emphasis on behavior analysis and a minor in disability studies. She has been a babysitter for eleven years and a nanny for eight. Eleri is exceptional at her job because she is patient and kind. She recognizes the importance of children feeling heard and understood. Eleri believes that when children are upset, it can be easy for their caregivers to be dismissive or to become frustrated/upset themselves. She finds it imperative to know when to take a step back from the situation and reevaluate the possible (and often unseen) causes of problems. Eleri has been enrolled in classes that expand her understanding of children’s thoughts and feelings. Taking courses like this furthers Read more her ability to empathize with and understand children, which in turn improves the quality of her responses to them. Eleri became a caregiver because she has always had a passion for working with children, exemplified by her work and volunteer history, as well as her career path. She is creative, fun, loyal, and very passionate. She is just starting out in the Triangle area as a child and adolescent therapist. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, attending trivia nights, and baking! Eleri is available for the occasional weeknight/weekend.
