Hello! My name is Stephanie. I am a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin and am looking to start my Master’s Degree soon. My experience with children began when I started babysitting younger family members at the age of 10. Since then I have babysat non-family members, taught catechism at two churches in my hometown, been a private tutor, worked in aftercare as well as a church’s nursery and have been employed by four state licensed childcare facilities. The most important thing to come out of these experiences is that they have helped me find a passion for working with children. The children I have worked with have been between the ages of 8 months to 13 years old. My most recent childcare job was as a nanny for three boys ages 8 months, 2 and 4 years. I started a full time job recently but have Read more missed the one-on-one interactions with children which is why I am looking for opportunities in date night babysitting. I love finding hands-on projects that keep the child’s interest while exercising his or her creativity. I also love finding opportunities to incorporate learning into play.
