Hi, my name is Shelby and I'm 26 years old. My education history includes an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from North Shore Community College (2014) and a Bachelors of Art in Psychology with a concentration in Childhood and Adolescent Development from Southern New Hampshire University (2016). Also, I'm currently working on my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Addictions Treatment (expected Fall 2022). Additionally, I have a certificate in recognizing thoughts of suicide and engaging in safety resources from LivingWorks Connect, continuing education credits from Dr. Atkins’ workshop, The Science of Sleep with Implications for Wellness and Disease, and participate in advocacy for Homelessness and Food Insecurity among College Students and the Effects of Mental Health. I love working with children. I believe that they are the world's most valuable resource and the best hope for the future. I started babysitting when I Read more was 13 years old. I have experience working with children from newborn to 13 years old. In 2016, I was a volunteer Big Sister to a 10-year-old girl, in the Big Brother Big Sister of New Hampshire non-profit organization. Additionally, for my internship my last semester at Southern New Hampshire University, I worked at an after school program in a Manchester, NH, elementary school. Also, I was an associate manager at Build-A-Bear Workshop for three years. Additionally, I am an active member of the American Counseling Association, a nonprofit, professional, and educational organization that is dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession.
