I am currently CPR and First Aid qualified. My name is Lia Hester. I am a graduating senior at University of Missouri-St. Louis. I am going to school for my masters currently in order to further my career in education, with a concentration in Elementary and Secondary Education. I have worked with children since i was 14 years old starting off as my neighbors and family members babysitter. Eventually when I turned 18, I moved into early childhood education. I worked for the boys and girls club when I went to Lincoln University as a freshmen, then after transferring back to St. Louis, I took a summer Job at Tender Care Learning center. There I worked with all ages from birth to 6th grade. I have a long background with children and as of Currently I am a substitute teacher at Clayton Early Childhood center. Due to the cornonavirus, my Read more hours have been reduced, tremendously. I was previously an infant room teacher here, but because of the Virus they only have called me for substitute hours. I feel that with all my experience I am the best candidate for this position. I am hard working and dedicated to my work with children. I am a student first individual, meaning whatever my students need from me I will do my best to make it happen. My overall dream is to be a kindergarten-3rd grade teacher which is why I would be perfect as a pre-kindergarten or kindergarten, 1st-3rd grade teacher. As well as the perfect nanny for any family willing to expand their children’s educational horizons. Thank you.
