I have been a caregiver for over 15 years, starting by babysitting my cousins. In high school I started babysitting for my neighbor's children (2 weeks & 6 years old) which turned into a summer nanny job for 3 years. I worked at the YMCA daycare with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. I started with the kindergarten (I would play and teach them after/before they were at school) and also after school care, playing games and organizing activities for 3-30 children. I then moved to the infant and 2-5-year-old rooms where we had many children who were there with us all day. We provided a structured day, including play time, learning time, lunch, nap, and reading time. I love being with children and watching them learn & grow.
