Greetings, I'm an experienced childcare provider/nanny with 15 plus years of experience. Children have always been a focus in my life. As a loving, nurturing Mother and Grandmother, I've had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with children, helping to encourage their creative learning process through music, art, outdoor playtime and reading. In all areas, mentoring and encouraging them to make good decisions. Most of the time, when refocusing a child, discipline isn't needed but when it is, I use the time out method. From my experience, children just want someone to invest time and love into their lives. When we give children the successful tools needed to express their concerns, foster new frienships, experience trying new things to build confidence, they learn to believe that they can accomplish anything. When working with young babies, I spend alot of time bonding with them through playtime, loving encouragement and creative play. With toddlers and older children, we spend alot of time playing outdoors, making weekly trips to the library to foster a love of learning, spending time playing at parks to allow playtime while making new friends, spending time swimming if a neighborhood pool is an option, taking trips to our local museums to allow the children to experience the love of art and creative expression. Other areas that are encouraged are music and acts of kind service. Making cards for family members, encouraging basic cooking lessons, teaching children to dress themselves, clean their own rooms and contribute to family responsibilities.
