Meet Almond

Hello! My name is Almond, a full-time 3rd year university student majoring in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. I’ve been babysitting and working with children for about 5 years, having taken Early Childhood Education for two years in high school. I have experience with the Montessori education method and traditional learning as well. My hobbies include reading, baking, and just getting outside for a walk for fresh air. I’ve babysat various ages, but am most comfortable with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. I love taking care of children because I believe they teach you more in life than you teach them. They teach you kindness, patience, and help you live out your inner child. I am willing to help with homework, laundry, and preparing food. I believe that children should go outside for “exercise” for at least 1 hour and have moderation in screen time. I also have a Read more philosophy that, I’m times of “temper tantrums” or when a child is having trouble with their emotions, giving a child time to sort through their feelings then addressing how they feel is very beneficial to a child’s development.
