Hello! My name is Paulina and I am currently a science teacher at Fusion Academy, teaching students from 6-12 grade. Most students I teach have special needs. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley student majoring in molecular and cell biology (with a concentration in immunology) and minoring in Education. In college, due to the pandemic, I took a gap year and worked full-time with two twin kindergarteners, primarily helping them with their distanced learning curriculum and providing extra support and enrichment lessons. I created balanced schedules of classwork, outside time, arts and crafts projects, and lots of reading. I am energetic and very loving. I love arts and crafts and being outside. I try to inspire critical thinking and problem-solving behaviors. I value kindness and empathy and make it a priority to help children understand others' (and their own!) feelings.
