Looking for employment in Chicago area! I currently work with children that have various special needs. It is a challenging job, but I have enjoyed working at Grants House for 1 and 1/2 years. Before that, I provided childcare at my church and babysat for about 5 years. This summer I will be taking 2 (online) classes to complete my Bachelors Degree in Development and Family Science through Purdue University. I will graduate in August, but hope to begin a full time job in Chicago before then. I took classes that focused on child development. I also had the opportunity to observe and assist in a Kindergarten classroom for a semester. I have already received a certificate in Collaborative Leadership. This certificate focused on diversity training, mentoring, active listening, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence.
