Hello, My name is Ashlee. I have experience working with children of every age group from infancy to late teens. My childcare journey began when I was 14 years old and I became a consistent babysitter for my newborn nephew, and two years later my newborn niece, from their infancy to toddler years into adolescence. My most recent experience has been as a Teaching Assistant at a Montessori school. Montessori education has sharpened my skills of using peace, cooperation, and independence in my childcare approach. My professional childcare experience began as a substitute teacher. Through my consistency and reliability, I received a promotion to a permanent position as a Technology Teacher. Other leadership experiences include positions as a summer camp counselor, a summer camp kitchen assistant, and a service member through AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). In AmeriCorps, I earned over 1900 hours in community service and achieved the Read more Positive Energy and Consistent Attitude (PACE) Award. In college I became a Resident Assistant. My team and I were responsible for supervising the safety and wellness of the entire building for over 100 college-aged residents. I am CPR certified, fully vaccinated, and have a clean driving record. I am excited to take my skills and knowledge I have gained from caring for youth for the past 15 years to a more intimate setting by working personally with families.
