Hello! My name is Gabby Claybern. I am 22 years old and have been working in childcare since I was 18 years old. I started at Kids and Cribs where I instantly fell in love with caregiving. Watching the kids grow up was equally heart breaking but also so rewarding. Their faces when they learned new things or started to walk on their own was such a heartwarming experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. After about 2 years in childcare, I moved into the field of elderly care. I loved hearing their stories about their youth and getting life advice from them. It was rewarding seeing how happy I made them just by sitting down and listening to them. I’ve now been in elderly care for about two years as well. Caregiving has always been a side to me that’s felt natural. I’ve grown up with a large family Read more and being one of the oldest cousins, I was used to being on “Cousin duty” and watching my younger cousins while our parent’s had their own time together. Being able to create trust, respect, and a mutual feeling of security is what keeps me staying in the caregiving profession. It’s nice to help others and to make their day better. I have been trained in First Aid and CPR. I’m currently looking to get my CPR card renewed. I’m able to adapt to new changes and I’m always willing to learn. My main focus is to make my clients happy and to keep them healthy and feeling cared for.
