Hi, I'm Danielle! I cared for and raised my sister, 11 years my junior, from the time she was born; I babysat all through my teens and 20's; I worked as a teacher in the Bank Street Family Center in NYC, decades ago in the "0-3" room for a number of years, and learned a lot about early childhood development; I substitute taught elementary school in NYC for a few years; I'm a mom of a teenager; and I have a Masters degree in Counseling and Art Therapy. I recently quit my job of 14 years working for a university and I'm not wanting to jump back into a traditional job any time soon. I love spending time with young children, nurturing their creative spirits with music and art, cooking, time in nature and around flowers, and playing in water whenever possible! I am compassionate and patient, energetic and resourceful, Read more have a pretty good sense of humor, and because I'm older than your typical caregiver (50's), I have a bit of a Grandmotherly vibe. I'm open to short term gigs; longer term gigs; daytime work; evenings and weekends.
