Hello, My name is Ashley. I am currently looking for a part-time nannying position while I attend grad school. I just completed a nanny position with a 1.5-year-old and a 3-year-old. I am honored for the time I spent time with this family and have the opportunity to form a strong bond with them and build a well-rounded and communicative relationship. Although it was difficult to do many activities with the kids due to COVID, I was determined to make life as fun as possible. I continued to be COVID conscious, to provide the safety of the kids, as well as myself. I have done many activities including crafts, outdoor time, preparing and serving meals, diaper changes, reading books, assisting parents with school pickup or any other transitions, providing lots of snuggles, and much more. More about my background: I am from Florida, and moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and completed a Co-op at The Italian Home for Children with youth who suffered from trauma. Some of my duties included cleaning, cooking, taking kids to school, going on trips, doing laundry, and much more. I also worked at Kids and Company Daycare as an assistant teacher with infants and toddlers ages 2-months to 5-years old, where I assisted with daily necessities such as feeding and diaper changes, as well as creating and implementing age-appropriate activities. I then babysat with Chime(SitterCity) and had an opportunity to work with many children of several age groups. I completed any tasks parents left for me while caring for their kids such as, playtime, feeding/cooking, or preparing for bedtime. After graduating I worked as a mental health specialist at Franciscan Children’s Hospital in a psychiatric unit with youths and adolescence ranging from ages 3 to 19 years old. I was required to clean, assist with laundry, maintain safety, advocate for children's needs, and de-escalate unsafe situations effectively while displaying empathy. Prior to this job I nannied a 4-month-old and 5-month-old for a year and was responsible for all baby needs and activities.
