I have lived in Ledyard most of my life and since the age of 16 I have been put in different positions and roles in working with children. Since the age of 16 I have helped run and teach the Sunday school at my church. I work with ages 5-11 through teaching and planning lessons. There are about 15-20 children per week. I also have helped teach Vacation Bible School at our church, Second Baptist Church, in North Stonington, CT. I did this for 3 years and would run games and teach lessons for a variety of different age groups. I babysit and care for a young lady with special needs since I was a teenager. I am in charge of preparing her meals, making sure she gets her daily tasks complete, and also making sure she showers and cares for her own physical needs. I was the Assistant Director Read more for Ledyard Learners After School Program for 1 year. The responsibilities I was given entailed; planning and teaching enrichments, administrative duties, parent communication, staff communication, and planning events within the year. The grades I worked with ranged from K-6 and I taught in the 2nd grade age range. I am very comfortable and used to working with large groups of children at any age.
