I am a mother of 3, including a set of multiples. I have always enjoyed working with children; I love being a part of the journey of a child's growth. I have an Associates in Education, extensive childcare work experience, am first aid/CPR certified, am certified to administer medication, as well as have recent credit hours of continuing education in Early Childhood Care. I was a nanny for a family in Cherry Hill, NJ for 3 years. I began caring for their 6 mo son in their home in June of 1994 (at minimum 50 hrs per wk). Approximately 18 mos later, they had a second son. I bathed, diapered, dressed, fed, nurtured, played with, encouraged them in developmentally appropriate activities, and administered medication to the 2 boys. We would take walks to the park, visit the library for various activities, go on field trips to places like the aquarium Read more in Camden, Nj. I would take the children to doctor appointments, occasionally run errands, do light housework like cleaning the kitchen after meals, vacuuming weekly, and doing the children's laundry. The trust and rapport between a child, their family, and myself is truly rewarding; as is the ability to teach and provide quality care for a child in their parents' absence. I am good at caring for children. Not just because of my education and experience, but because of my loving nature. I treat them as if they are my own. I have been told on numerous occasions that my voice and demeanor are both calming and reassuring. Parents are comfortable knowing that I am a trust worthy, kind, and reliable caregiver to those they hold most precious.
