My love of children began when I was twelve. I was blessed with a brother after being an only child my entire life. I started babysitting him, and neighboring children the following year. When I was 18, I met my daughter's father and became like a stepmom to his 10 month old son. I soon started working as an assistant teacher in the two year old department of his daycare center. When the head teacher left I took over her position. I really enjoyed my job, but had to leave when I became pregnant with my daughter due to health issues. My primary focus since then has been on raising my children. My daughter is now 21, works as an x-ray technician in a hospital, has two rescue dogs, and just put in an offer on her first house. My son is 9, he is on the 4.0 honor roll Read more at school, is a star student in martial arts, and is exploring 4-H this year. I am obviously proud of my kids, and would very much like to be a positive influence in your child's life when you can't be there yourself.
