Jill Otto PERSONAL STATEMENT I am an active Illustrator/teacher who has raised both a daughter and a son. Both are grown and living on their own. I am terrific with kids and am willing to incorporate creative activities, and outings into my care schedule. I have taken CPR, know First Aid, and had 8 years of early childhood classes through ECFE. I have worked as an art teacher in several art centers, been a substitute teacher for both private and public schools and have been employed by Teachers on Call. This experience has providedme with experience teaching and caring for children from 3 months of age, through high school. I am kind, gentle, and really understand a child's need for both structure and to be nurtured. I have a BFA in fine arts from the University of Iowa and was an honors student. I am able to provide the stimulation and a positive environment necessary for young minds to grow and flourish. I don't smoke, like pets and find interacting with children most rewarding. Jill’s been an amazing nanny for us for the past 10+ months. We’ll miss having her around once our daughter moves to daycare. She is very attentive, caring, playful and in-tune with what our daughter needed through each stage of development in her first year. She finds joy and sparks curiosity in the things around the house, from the rocks outside, to the scarf she’s wearing that day. She’s also great helping around the house and playing with Duke, our 13 year old dog. Both Duke and our daughter are excited when she arrives each day! I highly recommend her, especially for infants and toddlers.

Jill has been a great nanny for us and our little guy. She is very calm, friendly, and understanding. All qualities that were important to us. She spends time interacting with different activities with our 7 month old baby, which I love to see. Every day she comes he always lights up and gives her a big smile- which is the best indication for me!! Baby approved!!

Jill did visits with my dog for a few days over Christmas. In addition to being ok with a last minute job, she brought her chicken soup and ham for Christmas dinner, and sent me updates during the visits so I always knew how she was doing. I definitely recommend hiring Jill for your pet care needs.
