This would actually be my first time as a nanny. However, I have an extensive amount of experience as a mother, educator, babysitter, and care provider to pets. I am a licensed teacher k-8 teacher. I am currently working as a teacher aide with students of special needs in a public elementary school. Other grade levels have included kindergarten up to high school (as a substitute teacher). I have also worked at a preschool with infants, toddlers and preschool aged children. I hold a current CPR and First Aid certification along with a sheriff's card for working at a public school. My own children are ages six and eight. I prefer to work with younger children. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, reading, and I think being outside in nature is fantastic (one of my favorite past-times). If a family has pets, I have experience with horses (since the age Read more of four), dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, chickens, goats, cows, etc. I love kids and animals! I would like the opportunity to work around my children's school schedule. Therefore, I would prefer hours during the day between 8:30 - 4:30. If a family should need me earlier or later, there could be some flexibility. I am looking at becoming a nanny rather than stay in the field of teaching, because I desire to have more time devoted to my own children. I also prefer working more one-on-one than in a classroom of students. I feel there is a family out there that could be the perfect fit for my needs and I for their needs.
