Hello! My name is Olivia. I grew up in Oregon and really love photography and working with kids! I have always had a passion for children and am a new mama myself. My son is 2 months old and I’m in the process of transitioning careers. I come from a large family of 7 kids and absolutely love the commotion and life that comes from having a family that big in one house! I have a couple older siblings (10+ years older) who started having children when I was growing up myself. Around age 11 I began watching my infant nephew and started from there. I worked by word of mouth and babysat several families growing up in our church and for family friends well into high school & even college. Eventually I was a full time nanny/sitter the summer after my first year of college for a family for Read more a year and a half and really loved my job and the family I worked with. I occasionally babysat for them for several years following my time as their nanny. I eventually graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science in June of 2014. I worked as a full time preschool teacher for our age 2 classroom and was able to float to various classrooms to experience the different stages of child development (ages 6 mos. to 6 years), I was able to really engage in student-to-teacher interaction and use my knowledge, skills and education and incorporate those into the classroom daily. We experienced everything from potty training to learning about our planet and letting the children show us what they wanted to learn. We used the Goddard School teaching methods and their Get Set education model for our classroom lesson plans. Right now I am looking for a little change and am currently working in the healthcare field and am on maternity leave until December. With the world it is today I’ve found it’s quite hard to find care for little ones, so I’m hoping to be able to bring my child with me and really wanting to find a local family to work with and use my skills and knowledge to help them with their little ones! I absolutely loved being a nanny and I am passionate about children and their education! I would love the opportunity to see if I am a great fit for you and your family!
